This is a highly detailed model of a Dutch Yacht built as a whole hull model positioned on a stand inside the bottle. The ship is built as an Admiralty Model showing the ship's trusses on one side with individual planking on the other areas of the hull. The ship is painted white on the bottom third of the hull with the middle third in a light natural color wood and the top third painted green with black bulwarks. There are green rudders on both sides of the ship with black trim. The rudder on the side with the exposed trusses is dropped lower to not interfere with the view of the open hull. The ship has a single mast with three sails. The rigging is accurate with both standing and running rigging with block and tackle. The ship is shown with a full keel also painted to correspond to the paining on the hull. A Dutch flag flies from the end of the bowsprit and a long Dutch banner flies from the top of the mast. Above this mast is a long and highly decorated mast ornament. On the stern of the ship are the words "Anno 1765" pained in gold against a blue background. The deck of the ship is painted in red and is built to expose the inside of the hull. The ship rests on a wooden cradle mounted inside the bottle. The bottle is sealed with a cork and there is a Turk's Head knot around the neck. The bottle itself rests on a turned wooden plinth.
