This is a model of the L. Henriette-Marie, an 1866 Pilot Cutter built as a whole hull model in a bottle. The ship has a single mast and 4 sails showing the stitch and reef lines. The largest sail has a "H2" drawn on the sail in the top middle. The mast is accurately proportioned and is built in two sections. The hull is shown whole with the keel and rudder depicted. The bottom of the hull is red and the top is in natural wood with the planking visible. The deck is planked and is shown with a pilots cabin and hatch. The ships bowsprit is secured with chain. The ship sits on a small plinth with "L. Henriette-Marie, Pilot Cutter 1866" on a small plaque on one side and "Steve Moseley 2001" on the other side. The bottle is sealed with the original Bakelite screw cap.
