Bottle 561 - The One That Didn't Get Away
Date Added: 05 July 2007

This is a humorous scene of two ice fishermen ready to haul in the big one! The bottle features two fishermen, carved in wood, standing on a thickness of ice. The fisherman on the right is wearing blue pants, black shoes, and brown gloves. His shirt is light blue and he is wearing a red vest jacket. He has gray hair, a large gray beard and is bald on top. He is holding a yellow rod and reel in his hands with the fishing line going into the hole cut in the ice. The other man is also wearing blue pants and had brown shoes and gloves. He is wearing a full brown coat with a white and green scarf and neck warmer around his neck and has a matching green and white sock cap on his head. He has brown hair and is smoking a cigarette. He has an ice saw on a long brown pole in his hands. The ice is made from Appoxie Sculpt and colored to match the appearance of ice on a lake. The water under the ice is made from a material called Castin' Craft and it is a polyester resin that is tinted in a light blue color. In the water, we can see the great "catch" of the fisherman. It is an old laced up boot. The bottle is sealed with a red and white fishing bobber, carved in wood, with the words "The One That Didn't Get Away" and also "Steve Moseley, St. Louis, 2007." The bobber connects to a real red hook with fishing line that prevents the stopper from being removed and moving.
