The ship has 3 masts with yard arms. The shrouds are black and the remaining rigging is white. The tug has a single mast with a smoke stack with billowing black smoke coming out. It has three decks and two lifeboats on the deck. The name "Rudolf Kienau" painted on the side of the black hull. In the water is a large buoy with a red bottom, white middle and black top.
