Ships, Folk Art, and Whimsey in Bottles

Ramon Arbelo Gonzalez, working under the name PUKY made this three tiered tower in a 12 1/5 inch Havana Club bottle. The bottle took about a month to complete and was made with handmade tools. The different colors in the tower come from using different woods. The carving was assembled outside the bottle then it is cut into small pieces that will fit into the bottle. Finally, it is reconstructed inside the bottle. This is a classic Puky tower-3 levels, detailed carving and fret work with ladders inside the towers connecting the floors. There is a dome with a tall spiral above the top floor. The bottle is sealed with a wooden turned stopper.
