Dominately from the 1970's a large assortment of commercial bottles began to come out of the Philippines. These bottles were widely varied but commonly contained one or more rattan huts with one or more villagers doing chores. It is thought that many of these bottles were built by prisoners in the penal system in the Philipipines for sale in the tourist trade to raise money. Today, they are a constant fixture on selling sites like eBay and Etsy. The prices are varied but they are commonly offered under $20.00 per bottle plus the cost of shipping. The bottles are generally well-made and reasonably priced for what you are getting. The bottles can make a nice display and the scenes are intriguing. These bottles however have not gained great popularity with collectors due to the commercial nature of the bottles and lack of uniqueness.

The following are examples of some of these bottles.
