Bottle 414 - Cross and Symbols
Date Added: 15 February 2006

This is a very small bottle with a cross and religious symbols built inside. The cross is built from wood but is covered with a white and blue piece of paper. Attached to the back of the cross is a ladder with 5 rungs. The cross sits on a base carved to the contours of the glass bottom. To the left side of the base is an unidentified post, perhaps a very tall chalice also with blue paper glued on the front and back with what looks like a host on the top. On the right side is what appears to be a candle with paper glued on is a spiral from top to bottom of the candle. In front of the cross are three dice stacked in a triangular shape. There are three wooden nails in the top dice. Loose in the bottle is a pair of wooden pliers, hammer or axe, a block of wood with a small carved "T" shape on the top, and a spear and sponge with the poles also having the paper glued on in a spiral. Although the bottle is sealed with a cork, inside the bottle is a cross piece that once fit in a wooden shaft making the bottle tamper proof.
