Bottle 271 - Crucifixion

This is a crucifixion scene of Jesus, cutout from a holy card, hanging on a wooden cross. The cross is painted black with each end carved in a pattern and painted gold. Above Jesus is INRE and above that and across and along the back of the cross are gold rosettes approximately 1/4" round. The base of the cross is attached to a cross piece. On each side of the base is a rolled up green paper cutout of a palm tree. On the other cross piece in front of Jesus is a golden wooden chalice. On the reverse side ins a wooden ladder with the sides painted black and it has 4 rungs. There are 2 additional crosspieces on the base. On the one in front are 2 large, long cone shapes candles painted yellow with white stripes and a cloth "wick" on the top of both. On the outside of the candles is a wooded spear with a black shaft and a gold spear point. On the other side is a long wooden pole painted black with a sponge on the top. In the same relative positions on the reverse side of the cross is a large wooden lantern with a black base and a gold top, showing a red "light" inside. On the other side is a flail with copper colored wire ropes. The bottle is sealed with a thin cork with red sealing wax on the very top.
