Bottle 256 - Castle and Town
Date Added: 01 October 2005

This bottle contains a diorama of a castle and a surrounding town positioned on a bed of clay. The castle sits in the middle of the bottle and is made up of 13 separate pieces joined to form the outside walls, 2 guard towers at the entrance of the castle, 4 corner towers, and main center structure. The pieces are all painted white and the windows, doors, stone effect and other details are painted in black. There is also a long building with a large tower attached. This may be a church or city hall type building. It is painted in the same style as the castle and there is a clock face showing on two sides. There is also a large windmill with 4 fan blades in the same white and black style as are the other buildings. There are 7 large buildings very much like the other ones except that the roofs are painted in a copper like color to resemble slate or clay tiled shingles. There is a white with black detailed bridge spanning a small body of water made with an aluminum foil to resemble water. There are a large number of bushes and trees planted around the buildings and throughout the scene. The bottom of the bottle has and portions of the neck have been painted black to cover the bed of clay. On top of the black color is with a small ivory like color with evenly spaced black dots along the entire stripe. The bottle is sealed with a cork and is unidentified. There is an approximate 4 inch crack along the top of the bottle toward the neck. It does not appear to put the bottle in jeopardy of breaking.
