This is a nicely made model of a Brigantine, a merchant ship, flying the British flag. The two masted ship had a black hull with a white strip mid-hull and 5 gun ports shown on each side. The sails have the stitch and reef lines drawn on each for realism. The masts and yardarms are a natural dark brown and the tips of the spars are painted white. The rigging is very nice with the standing rigging made from black thread and the running rigging in white. The deck has a deck's cabin and grates. The bottle is sealed with a cork and a Turk's Head knot is tied around the neck of the bottle. The bottle rests on a stand, although not original to the model, has a shape that resembles a large ocean wave breaking behind the stern of the ship.
