Date Added: 25 June 2006
This is a model of a 2 masted Ketch sailing on a calm sea of blue in a 60 watt light bulb. The Ketch has a black bottom and the remainder of the hull is white except for a thin green strip near the top. The very top of the hull is painted green. The Ketch has 2 masts and 4 sails flying. The sails have seam lines and reef lines drawn on in pencil. A French flag flies from the rear sail. The name "P97" is paint on both sides of the bow of the ship. The deck has 2 large cabins each in natural wood and one has a white roof. The bulb is mounted on a small wooden plinth outlined with manila rope. The socket end of the light bulb is tied down with manila rope and the other end rests in a circle of manila rope. This ship is one of several made by Marcel Escurat in the 1960's while he and his family lived in Paimpol in Bretagne, France.
