Ships, Folk Art, and Whimsey in Bottles

This is a very interesting styled and very well made chair in a bottle. The chair structure is made from wood and the color is a medium natural tone. The chair fills the bottle quite well, extending into the square corners and nearly going from the bottom of the bottle to the top just below the curve toward the bottle's neck. All the wooden parts of the chair are made from approximately 3/8" square wood. The ends of the legs and uprights are slightly beveled. There is a single stretcher between each leg near the bottom. There are three stretchers between the uprights. One is square shaped like between the legs. The other two are separated approximately 1/4" and have a curve cut out in the center making an oval shape between the stretchers. The seat and back are made from woven wicker or cane in a very distinctive and interesting pattern making the appearance of an octagon in the center. Hanging from the right side of the chair upright is a prayer bead rope with dark naturally colored beads strung on a rope that is tasseled on the end. The bottle is sealed with a red Tarboosh (Tarbush) with a black silk tassel "capping" the bottle.
