Bottle 459 - Bark
Date Added: 02 February 2007

This is a nice model of a Bark sailing on a sea of green with white caps that has turned to a brown color over time. The ship's hull is green on the very bottom and the rest is white on the lower half and black on the upper part. There are 3 masts and 10 sail. The ship flies the American Flag but it has faded over time. The deck is hollowed out except for the area of the bow and stern. There are 2 deck cabins. The ship has nice rigging. The bottle is a 1930 - 40's dimple bottle and the opening is painted green and is sealed with a cork. Under the bottle is a label that states: "Advance Nautical Equipment Co. 154 State St. Boston, Mass. Adjuster of Ships' Compasses Nautical Instruments, Charts, Books, Flags."
