Bottle 917 - Ship Bertha in a Bottle |
---|
Date Added: 17 May 2015
This is a model of the Brigantine "Bertha" built in an old whiskey bottle. The ship has two masts and there are seven sails flying. The are nice handmade details on the deck and a while railing goes around the hull. The ship rests on a handmade wooden stand with two wonderfully carved dolphins placed on the stand to support the neck of the bottle. There is a red banner on the side of the stand that reads "The Brigantine Bertha 1944." The artist has also signed his name on the stand "B Stratton."
