---|
Date Added: 17 May 2015
This is a delightful model of the HMS Formidable aircraft carrier of 1940. It is all handmade by a Yorkshire craftsman, B Stratton. There are seven finely detailed miniature handmade airplanes on the flight deck. The bottle is 10 inch long and rests on a handmade wooden plinth that is carved to resemble the flight deck of the carrier. Carved on the side of the stand are the words "HMS Formidable WWII." The artist has also carved his name B Stratton and the year 2008 on the plinth.
