Bottle 427 - Schooner Suspended in Bulb

This is a model of a 2 masted schooner built in a Phillips 40 watt light bulb. The schooner is built as a whole hull model. The bottom of the hull is red and the upper half black. The ships has 2 masts and both masts are built in 2 sections. The rigging is black thread and nicely done. There is a single large cabin on deck. The ship is mounted on 2 parallel strips of wood that span the middle of the light bulb. The light bulb is screwed in a round wooden plinth. This ship is one of several made by Marcel Escurat in the 1960's while he and his family lived in Paimpol in Bretagne, France.
