This is a ladder back chair built in a square Gilbey's Whiskey bottle. There is a dowel support stretched between each leg. There are 2 chair back planks in a slightly lighter colored wood stretched between the large back uprights. On the top back piece is faintly written in the wood: "To/ Sheila." On the bottom piece is the word: "Ray." On top of the front legs of the chair are the letters: "R" and "J" possible the initials of the maker. The chair seat is woven with red yarn. The legs of the chair extend to the edges of the bottle. The bottle is sealed with the original metal cap. The bottle is a Gilbey's Whisky Bottle with a diamond pattern on both sides and part of the front. On the back of the bottle are the words: "Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-use of This Bottle." The is also "H & A Glibly, LTD. embossed in script and written on an angle.
