Bottle 370 - Uncle Sam Saluting
Date Added: 01 October 2005

This is a wonderful patriotic scene of Uncle Sam standing on a platform with his arm raised in a salute. The base for this scene is made from 2 white painted pieces of wood across the bottom of the bottle. Coming up from the base on each side are square posts painted like an American flag with red and white stripes 3/4 the way up the posts and the final 1/4 painted blue with white stars. Between the square posts and attached at the top are 2 white stripes of wood coming toward the center of the base making a letter "V" for victory. A small white platform is suspended in the bottom part of this "V" and standing on this platform is Uncle Sam. He is carved from wood and painted in a classic Uncle Sam costume with white shoes, red and white vertically striped pants and a blue coat with white star buttons. His left arm is at his side and his right arm is raised in a salute. He has a white beard, extended nose and a hat with a white brim, blue around the base of the hat, and red and white strips up the side of the hat. The bottle is sealed with a wooden shaft painted red with a red dowel extending down to the top of Uncle Sam's hat to hold the figure in place. On the outside of the bottle is a brown square attached to the shaft. The bottle has raised wording ONE PINT. FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR RE-USE OF THIS BOTTLE."
