Bottle 3 - Titanic |
---|
Date Added: 01 October 2005
This is a model of the Titanic shown while sinking. The hull was inserted in the bottle in multiple sections. It is a whole hull model and the part above the water shows the rudder and propeller blades. The bottom of the hull is red and the upper half is black. The decks are show with drawn "portholes. There is railing around portions of 2 stern decks. There are 4 steam stacks with grayish "cotton" smoke coming out. A single mast with rigging is still seen rising out of the rear portion of the main deck. There are 8 stacks I view. A very interesting and well depicted scene of a historical event. The bottle is sealed with a cork and red sealing wax. The model rests on a plain plinth with a popsicle like board attached to the side with the word "Titanic" handwritten in white on the side.
