Ships, Folk Art, and Whimsey in Bottles

This is a simple model of a Brig built in a light bulb. The ship is sailing on a sea of green near an island with a lighthouse. The ship's hull is painted red with the rest of the hull painted light blue. There are 5 gun posts painted on each side. Above the gun ports is a thin gold stripe going the length of the ship. A small copper colored anchor hangs from the bow. The ship has 2 masts and 6 sails. There island is a raised area of green with a lighthouse made with a very simply carved piece of wood colorfully painted. On the outside of the back of the bulb is a painted background with a dark blue sky looking like it was either near evening or at the beginning of a storm.
