---|
Date Added: 01 October 2005
Well depicted scene of a 3 mast bark sailing on a fairly calm sea of deep blue past a large village. The ship has 21 cloth sails. It is nicely rigged and there is a white and red horizontal flag from the rear rigging. The bowsprit has a sprit sail yard and a dolphin striker. There are a 2 deck features and drawn on planking. The village spans the entire bottle from the bottom of the bottle through the neck to the opening of the bottle. There are 7 buildings and a large lighthouse. The land is very detailed with cliffs, undergrowth, scrubs, trees, and much more giving it a very realistic appearance. The background is painted sky blue. The bottle has a label under the land in the neck that read: "Modellsert Schmidt Herman Bayreuth 57" This would identify the maker, where and the year.
