Bottle - Along the Loire in a Bottle |
---|
Date Added: 30 December 2017
Because of the beauty of its valley, in the beginning of the Renaissance in the 16th century, the French nobility preferred to settle along the banks of the Loire where they built their magnificent castles on vast estates. During this time Paris at times assumed almost provincial character. This diorama in a bottle depicts one of these lovely scenes. The detailed diorama shows three boats sailing along the Loire River below a wonderful castle on the ridge above.
