Ships, Folk Art, and Whimsey in Bottles

This is a scene with a fleet of ships. The main one is the aircraft carrier "Princeton," complete with 30 aircraft on the flight deck. It is accompanied by the Arizona and the California as well as 4 escorts. The top of the globe has an arrangement with probably 70-80 planes. Red, white and blue is the color theme of most of the work. It dated Jan 1, 1963 and indicates there were 9 different types of wood used. The globe is 750 watt and it has 1450 pieces and took 150 hours to make. It has Robert's picture with address on the side and handwritten on the base.
