This hand carved crucifixion scene was made by an Artist only identified as the "Caveman." It was made in 1940 in Branson, Missouri.
Jesus is finely carved with fully outstretched arms and he is wearing a purple loin cloth. There is a crown of thorns on his head and a halo on the cross behind his head. To the top of the cross is a wooden plaque with "Jesus The King of the Jews." The cross is pinned down with a long tapered wooden stopper with a cone lick top with the top cut off outside the bottle. On the bottom of the cross pieces supporting the cross and on the inside of the bottle is written: "Made by, Caveman, Branson, Missouri, 1940.
