Date Added: 30 March 2018
This Oil Derrick in a Jack Daniel's bottle was made in the mid 1970s. The maker's initials "V I R" is burned on the wooden stopper. They stand for Vernon I. Roth. The derrick has many cross support pieces with nail heads and there is a 10 rung ladder on one side. There is a plaque near the top of the derrick that states: " 1920 Texas Oil Derrick." The stopper comes out of the bottle through the metal cap which is still attached.
