Bottle 1026 - Ville de Bahia |
---|
Date Added: 31 December 2012
This is a wonderfully detailed model of the Ville de Bahia, an ocean liner carrying passengers and mail between Le Havre and Rio de Janeiro in 1872. The liner was driven by sails flying from three masts and by steam engines. This liner is built with cabins, railing, vents, davits and lifeboats and more. The model has accurate standing and running rigging. There is also a two mast schooner built in the neck of the bottle.
