This is a chair built in a Jack Daniels bottle. The chair extends to all sides and fills the bottle. It is a ladder back style with a colorful loosely woven seat using the colors yellow, rust and green. There is a hand made wood stopper in top which is constructed in a way that it can not be removed with a wooden crosspiece inside the bottle and just below the neck. There is a hand written note written on lined notebook paper cut to fit bottom of bottle that states, "Made by Chester Holt, Mar. 1980". The man who built this chair in a bottle was Chester Holt who lived in Center, Shelby County, Texas and was a school teacher. He was also a physically handicapped having a missing leg which he lost in the war. He is now deceased.
