This is an altar scene built in a bottle. The altar sits on a sectional wood base covered with paper above and below the base. The alter has 2 levels. On the base piece is a wooden cross. On the top mantle of the base piece are 2 very large candleholders with tall candles. Between the candleholders is an open book with penciled lines to symbolize writing. Sitting on this piece is another raised piece with a large wooden cross with a metal figure of Jesus hanging from the cross. On the top of the cross is a wooden plaque with "I.H.S." written on it. On each side of this cross are 2 smaller candleholders and candles made like the larger ones in front. The bottle is nicely sealed with a long wooden shaft with a tamper proof peg going through it preventing the stopper from being removed. On the outside of the bottle the end of the shaft has a large cone shaped wooden carving.
