This is a wonderful model of the RMS Titanic, an Olympic-class Ocean Liner built in a large Grant's triangular bottle. RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15 April 1912, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The ship struck a massive iceberg late on the night of April 14, 1912. The largest passenger steamship in the world, the Olympic-class RMS Titanic was owned by the White Star Line and constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. This model rests on a custom wooden stand with a carved lifeboat decoration placed under the bottle neck. The name Titanic is carved in the middle of the side of the stand and 15/4 on the left side and 1912 on the right side of the name Titanic, denoting the date the Titanic sunk. The artist's name B Stratton is also on the stand.
