This is a well-built scene of the Ocean Steamer “Musa”. The ship is depicted sailing away from the opening of the bottle which is more unusual, rare and unique way to present the ship. It is believed to have been built between the 1930’s and the 1950’s. The white hull has several port holes painted on the midsection and stern. There are raised decks on the bow, mid-ship, and in the stern. The decks are a natural wood color and there are numerous features including a winch and anchor chains on the bow of the ship, deck platforms toward the bow and stern tall masts with flags flying from the top and 4 life boats mid-deck. A single line runs from top of the mast to the platform below. Beside each mast are 4 crane hoists leaning in four directions away from the masts. There is railing around the raised bow and stern decks and around the even higher mid-ship deck. Mid-ship is a large deck house with a huge smokestack painted in three colors. There is a flag mounted on the stern on the ship. The amazing detailed ship was obviously built by a craftsman who was knowledgeable with ships of this type. The mass of land behind the ship raises halfway up the back of the bottle. There are three large white buildings with red roofs in the foreground and additional white and red indistinguishable colors over the land emulating many small houses and buildings dotting the land. The bottle is painted light green around the opening and is sealed with a cork. I acquired this bottle from Lancaster, PA. It is 11 inches by 3 inches.
