Light House in a Bottle
Date Added: 16 March 2022
The model reproduces a lighthouse located on the English coast and is made with poplar wood in a normal 75 cl bottle. It is painted and patinated with appropriate sengni on the external walls that imitate the stones and relative windows. The images describe the project with its real photo and with the model assembled externally. In the other photos the various steps are described from the many disassembled pieces to the partial and complete assemblies inside the bottle. To finish with the lighthouse and the base external support painted in ebony color. In short, the lighthouse is a structure, generally a tower, equipped at the top with a system consisting of a lamp and a system of lenses that increase its visual power, capable of emitting powerful light signals that are of help and reference to navigation. They are located near landing places or indicate dangerous places or other places where it is useful to have a perceptible point during coastal navigation. In ancient times, navigation was mainly coastal and diurnal, only around the year 300 BC. That great structures were built that will remain unique examples of lighthouses for centuries, such as the monumental one of the Colossus of Rhodes, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World, in the early twentieth century the electrification of lighthouses began.
