The Corner Café in a Bottle
Date Added: 28 November 2025
This is a scene of customers and employees at a place called The Corner Café. On the inside of half of the bottle is a simulated brick wall with aluminum colored walls on the inside, and gray brick on the portion facing the outside of the bottle. On the outside brick is a cartoon figure holding a sign that states: "The Corner Café", (the name of the diorama), and on the other side are words written in graffiti that say: "Made by Greg Alvey, Owensboro, KY." The bottle contains 9 figures in various positions and wearing different types and colors of clothing. Four of the customers are seated on bar stools at the counter. There are two men and they each have a hamburger through the garden and fries with ketchup on a plate in front of them. There is a smaller boy who has a chocolate milkshake with a straw in his hands. A girl is seated on the stool waiting for her food that has just arrived. Her food is brought to her by a waitress in a pink outfit with a white apron. She is holding a tray with a club sandwich on a plate. Beside the sandwich are two dill pickle wedges and an olive on top of the sandwich. There is a boy leaning over the counter on the end. He is reaching for items on a tray in front of him. On the tray is a napkin holder, ketchup and mustard bottles, and salt and pepper shakers. On the back counter is a standing cook with a spatula in his hand. He is wearing a blue apron over his black pants and white shirt. He is cooking cheeseburgers and hamburgers and hot dogs on the griddle in front of him. There is a waitress in a pink dress and white apron standing at a cash register on the end of the counter. Under the counter are supplies in boxes, a large pot, and stacked trays. There is another counter on the side with a waitress in a pink dress and white apron standing in front of a coke dispenser. On one side of the coke machine are hot and cold faucets, and on the other side of the machine is a large cherry pie with a cut slice on a tray along with a slicing knife. Under that counter are stacked plates, and other pots and pans. On the wall behind the counters is a large board with a menu showing the food and the prices. There is another large board with a hotdog ad, coke ad, and a coke poster of a boy. Finally, there is a smaller board on the wall with the following on it: "The Corner Café, Made in 2025 by Greg N. Alvey, Owensboro, KY", along with a picture of the Artist.
