Col de cygne - la Bouteille Impossible
Date Added: 13 February 2014
Artist, Gerard Aubry calls this bottle "Col de cygne: la Bouteille Impossible!" It is a scene of a Gondola on the Grand Canal moving past a pier with lanterns and poles. The gondolier is propelling a romantic couple along the canal through the use of his long oar or rèmo held in an oar lock known as a fórcola. The name the artist choose for this bottle was inspired by the fact that the boat was too long to enter the bottle and then be turned into the correct position. He used a very unique and special technique to position the gondola correctly in the water. The pier has a gateway which includes an end panel " Gondola Servizio." There is a seagull perched atop of the pole with a lantern.
