 The title of this whimsey is Luke 10:18. The verse is "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven". A red horned Satan is going down for the count as De Jesus del Christa delivers a knockout punch. De Jesus is dressed in white boxing shorts with a rope belt holding them up. He is also wearing sandals and sports a halo. The whimsey is 14 inches tall including the stopper. Inlaid in Basswood strips in the Walnut stopper is the title and verse. Difficult to see but inlaid on the shaft supporting locking mechanism is the builder information.
