Bottle 710 - Patriotic Winder

The whimsey is in a 6.5 inch apothecary bottle. When the ball and cage stopper is included the whimsey is a total of 8.5 inches tall. The four armed yarn whimsey is made of Cherry and supports red, white and blue thread. The ball and cage stopper which includes a locking mechanism is made of Basswood. It is made of Basswood because Cherry is very hard and to difficult to carve. It is painted red and the ball is painted white with blue and red spots. It was painted because the Basswood stained unevenly.
