Bottle 358 - Wheel

Date Added: October 1, 2005
This is a model of a single wooden wagon wheel mounted on an axel. The wheel is approximately 4 1/2" in diameter and is built in 6 sections. There are 12 spokes in the wheel and there is an extended hub with a wooden peg going through the part of the wooden axle that comes through the wheel. The axle is made from a square piece of wood and is approximately 3" long. On one side of the axle is written "1992," the year this model was made. On another side is written "H. Campbell Norwich, Conn." the name of the maker and the city where it was made. The bottle is sealed with a wooden shaft with a tamper proof crosspiece making it impossible to remove the shaft. Outside the bottle and secured to the shaft is a 1 11/16" square piece of darker wood and atop of that is a 1 1/4' wooden dice painted white with black numbers.
