Bottle 326 - Jesus and Thieves

Date Added: October 1, 2005
This is a scene of the crucifixion with the 3 crosses depicted. The crosses are in natural wood with a mortised and tendon crosspiece. Jesus and the other two criminals are cut out from paper and features are drawn on. An "INRI" plaque hangs above Jesus' head. There is a sponge on a very long pole and it is crossed with a long spear with a point. In the base are many pieces of a natural plant material. Among the items in the base are 3 dice in the very front. On the left is a carve rooster on a pedestal. On the left is a lantern with a black top and red material in the center to depict light. There is a chalice, pliers, mallet, flail and torch. There is also an axe and a ladder with 12 rungs. The bottle is sealed with a wooden shaft with a tamper proof crosspiece preventing the stopper from being removed. The top of the bottle neck is covered with an aluminum foil material.
