Bottle 306 - Fort Jackson Cannon

This is a small glass bottle with a replica of the Old Fort Jackson Cannon inside. The cannon is gold/brass color and is mounted on a black carriage which rests on a small pad of green resin. On the bottle are the words: Old Fort Jackson Savannah, GA. The bottle is fastened to a small block of wood. On the bottom of the base is written "Souvenirs of America Americana 76 Leesburg, N.J. 08327 Made in America." Old Fort Jackson is also known for its daily cannon firing demonstrations each summer, and is the only historic fort in the United States delivering cannon salutes to passing military vessels. These items would be sold in the gift shops.
