Bottle 1507 - Slipway around 1740 in a Bottle

Frans Dekker has made a diorama in a bottle related to the history of the city of Zaandam and a new find there. About 1986 the city of Zaandam made an soil research near the theatre in Zaandam. During the excavation they discovered be something in the bottom. There, they found 4 slipway’s going all the way back to the year 1740. Based on this research and discovery, a model of the slip ways was built along with the area around it. Frans Dekker saw this model in a magazine and decided to make a part of it (2 slip ways) in a bottle. And this is the result.
