Bottle 1091 - Patriotic Items

A Patriotic themed bottle with a cannon, cannon balls, anchor, flagpole and flag with an eagle on top all mounted on a grassy knoll. Inspired by an image from a nostalgia calendar. The bottle is 6 1/4" tall, 3" at the base, 2" deep, with a 1" neck opening. The landscape is tile grout with miniature grass covering. All other hard pieces are hand turned wood for the cannon and hand carved wood for all other parts. The eagle wingspan is 1 3/8". The flag is also handmade for this project. The finest detail on the eagle was done with a needle sharpened to a chisel point and finished under a medical microscope. The nameplate at the bottom of the bottle got covered when the tile grout was applied so a second name patch was added to the stopper base to identify the maker. Completed on 8-20-2013.
